Lindian Acquisition of SBL

SMI and Lindian Resources have agreed on the acquisition by Lindian of a majority stake in the Sarmin Bauxite Ltd. ("SBL"). Sarmin Bauxite Limited is a privately held independent bauxite mining company part of the Sarmin Mining Inc.. The acquisition of this asset by Lindian represents the last step in an integration strategy which combines all the necessary export logistics infrastructure with several high quality bauxite deposits including now the world class high quality 1 Bn tonnes resource Lelouma bauxite project. Lindian is now positioned to become one of the largest low cost high quality producers of Bauxite in the world.
